YOUR WEEK OF STELLAR ENTERTAINMENT AT BREEZY

Latin Jazz and Salsa are here at Breezy this Thursday night. Please join us as we welcome the incomparable Edgardo Silva and his band.

Edgardo Silva Latin Jazz and Salsa

Edgardo has developed over 36 years of live SALSA an entertainment experience around the world-—the great ability to “read the crowd” moving flawlessly from a Guaracha, to a Cha-Cha-Chá, slowing down with a Bolero, spicing things up a bit with a Cumbia or the current Bachata, and bringing the audience to a frenzy with a faster Mambo, or a Merengue.

My love of creating art began at a very young age when I was inspired by my mother who is also an artist. My study of art continued through college. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Florida with a major in drawing, and a minor in painting. After graduating, I made my home in North Florida.

I gather my inspiration from travel, music, film and everyday life. My work emphasizes the play betweenlight and structure. A strong light source has been a constant theme in my work along with a strong illustration quality.

I have always focused my life around art. I enjoy absorbing the genius of the masters, the magic of their brushstrokes and the simplicity of how they represented shapes and light. I spend a lot of time observing my subjects and studying the interaction of forms, color, and the exchange between light and dark.

Along with my series of works, I have produced many commissioned pieces for both private collectors and commercial properties.

“Our unique experience with a works of art allows us to see outside of ourselves…it opens our minds and our hearts.”
